Get Clarity. Make Smarter Decisions.

Here's how I got the clarity to make a difficult choice that validated my priorities and lowered my stress and inner conflict.

  • Do I like skiing?
  • What are my expectations and how much time and money do I want to invest to make this fun?
  • Where does skiing fit into my priorities?  What's higher on the list that's being ignored or compromised?
  • Bringing gratitude to the richness and beauty in my life made it easier to let go.
  • Realizing I risked minimizing the joy and fun derived from other things in my life because of the time commitment skiing requires
  • Admitting that I was prone to allowing things into my life that were distractors and how that created anxiety and overwhelm

Recommitting to your priorities

  • It's OK to feel a healthy dose of guilt when it brings renewed vigor and commitment to your priority list.
  • Be aware of distractions and cut them off before they became an intrusion and halt efforts to make the difference you're here to make.
  • Remember to tap into your emotions because if you don't, they'll weigh you down and keep you from moving forward.
  • Be thoughtful before responding to invitations and offers - keep your priorities front-and-center and assess how well new opportunities align with them - make decisions in ways that ensure you're creating things that matter; let inner compass guide you
  • To move forward, we must say NO
